Onion
Dairy-free mayo
Dairy-free sour cream
Sugar Substitutes
White Wine Vinegar
Dry Mustard
Salt Substitutions
Apple Cider Vinegar
Farr Better No-Salt Seasoning
Now let’s prepare this delicious meal.
Purchase Pre-made Coleslaw Mix
Pick your favorite allergy-friendly brand that contains cabbage (hopefully both purple and green) and carrots. I used a (14 oz) bag. It does not have to be exact.
If you want to make it homemade, refer to our Farr Better Oil-Free Coleslaw. It will take you through shredding the coleslaw for these recipes.
Add remaining ingredients to pre-made coleslaw package in a large mixing bowl
1 1/2 cups Dairy-Free Mayo
1/4 cup Dairy-Free Sour Cream
1/4 cup chopped onions of your choice. My favorite is a couple of green onions chopped.
1/4 cup Sugar Substitutes ~ Click link or photo to see choices that accommodate your dietary restrictions.
2 tbsp Dry Mustard2 tsp Salt Substitutions ~ Click link or photo to see choices that accommodate your dietary restrictions.
2 tsp Farr Better No-Salt Seasoning
Stir thoroughly to coat the vegetables with the sauce mixture until well combined. Chill in the refrigerator for an hour before serving for best results.
Homemade slaw options:
Pick one or all of these to create your own special combination. There are some really fun ideas. Finely shred or chop up any of these coleslaw options. What is your favorite combination?
Broccoli
All kinds of Kale
Bok Choy
Bell Peppers
Chili Peppers or other peppers that are your favorite
Celery Seeds 1/2 tsp or so
Remember to stir the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Chill for an hour for the best results. I promise you will love the flavor this recipe has.
I will continue to make more recipes that are easy to make. These are great for my friends (which is you) that don’t have a lot of time to cook. The true test is having my grandson, who is 6 years old, make these recipes too. I figure if he can do it, you can too! Enjoy my friends!!
Did you know with this recipe format you can change the serving size which will change your ingredient quantity?
